How it works
Register your school
Sign up using this form to help us track the impact. You’ll receive a confirmation and more information in the lead up to the day.
Set up on the day
Open the livestream on a classroom screen — just a browser and projector. If you want to co-ordinate the livestream with an assembly then see the timetable for the best time to join.
Train together
Follow live trainers. Pupils can practice on a teddy, rolled-up jumper or schoolbag.
Certify & celebrate
If you tune in on the day, then thank you for helping us reach our target of training 1 million people in CPR by 2027. You can download our certificate of participation after filling out our feedback form.

The primary school CPR lesson is designed to be fun and interactive. We have put together a lesson plan so that teachers can feel confident supporting their pupils on 1st October.

Lifesaver challenge - explained
The learning doesn't stop when the livestream ends! The Lifesaver Challenge encourages pupils to take their new CPR skills beyond the classroom and share them with their families and communities.
Our goal is simple: help children and young people become CPR ambassadors and Fill Our Schools with Lifesavers.
1. Join Restart a Heart Live
Take part in a Restart A Heart Live CPR lesson with your class or school on 1st October 2026.
2. Download the Lifesaver Challenge sheet
Download the Primary or Secondary Lifesaver Challenge sheet and send it home with pupils, or share it with parents and carers electronically.
The challenge is designed for pupils to:
Learn the key CPR steps.
Practise what they've learned.
Teach family members, carers, friends or others in their community.
3. Tell us how many lifesavers you created
Once your pupils have completed the challenge, let us know how many people they taught by 31st October 2026. We will create a short and easy submission form.
We'll send a friendly reminder before the deadline, and together we'll celebrate how many extra people across Scotland and the UK became CPR ready thanks to your school.
